Yemen hotel to sue US Embassy

The ruling Yemeni Congress Party's Web site said the administration of Aden Hotel in the southern city of Aden will file a lawsuit against the embassy for discouraging U.S. citizens to spend the festive season at the hotel and for making bad propaganda.

Officials in the province of Aden also expressed outrage at the U.S. Embassy's advice to Americans not to travel to Aden, citing security hazards.

Such warning is unfounded and lacks evidence because security is well maintained and there is no reason to worry, said a security official in Aden.

The U.S. Embassy in Sanaa issued a warning on its Web site for Americans not to travel to Aden and avoid public places and hotels as a precaution against possible terrorist attacks.
