Williams Lea Partners With Global Law Firm Orrick in Landmark Relationship
29 October 2005Williams Lea, a leading Business Process Outsourcing provider specializing in Corporate Information Solutions, has entered into an agreement with international law firm, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP to deliver document and transactional processing services to the firm.
The partnership, effective on November 14, 2005, establishes Williams Lea's Corporate Information Center within the Wheeling Stamping facility. The Center, located in Wheeling, W.V., is an 88,000-sq.-ft. facility with 131 employees. The new Williams Lea Corporate Information Center will be a state- of-the-art facility with centralized operations for Orrick and other professional business services companies throughout the world. Orrick will continue to run its Global Operations Center -- with support services in information technology, finance, human resources, marketing and other functions -- in the Wheeling facility.
"The Corporate Information Center will provide an alternative off-site processing capability to our operations in India. We wanted to give our clients in the U.S. a genuine alternative to moving highly sensitive and time critical documentation offshore," said Williams Lea CEO Tim Griffiths. "We are now the only firm in the world that can offer our legal clients secure Corporate Information Solutions on site, off site (in-country) and offshore."
Williams Lea will manage Orrick's word processing, transcription production and document services needs from the Corporate Information Center and in-house at their practice offices throughout the US. Williams Lea will provide Orrick with a greater depth of information management resources.
"Our two firms share a vision for a basket of services we can provide from Wheeling," said Ralph Baxter, chairman and CEO of Orrick. "Now we have two successful, entrepreneurial, global enterprises committed to bringing more service sector jobs to this part of West Virginia by building out-sourcing businesses for law firms."
The Corporate Information Center will be wholly-owned and independently- operated by Williams Lea, expanding its service offering to corporations around the globe. As Williams Lea establishes its state-of-the-art corporate information management practices at the site, the center will create a smarter, more flexible, cost-effective production hub for other national and global law firms and professional services companies.
Through its strengthened U.S. presence, Williams Lea will continue to deliver customized Corporate Information Solutions to its clients -- defined as the management of all digital and printed information which organizations exchange with their internal and external audiences.
