The public is invited to attend a free Senior Options Seminar

Skyrocketing real estate taxes, escalating fuel costs, spiraling medical bills… These are just some of the daily challenges faced by seniors across the country as they struggle to make ends meet. Everyone knows a friend, neighbor, or family member in this position, but most are unsure of how to proceed or where they can turn for help to learn what their options are.

In response to this dilemma, area seniors and their families are invited to attend a free Senior Options Seminar at Crane Library in Quincy, MA on Wednesday November 30 from 6 – 8 PM. The seminar is open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

The seminar will feature a panel of experts on senior issues including: George Downey, a reverse mortgage expert and founder of Harbor Mortgage Solutions in Braintree, MA; Kate Granigan, LICSW, Managing Partner and Director of C.A.R.E. (Consultation, Advocacy and Resources for Elders) in Marshfield, MA; and Atty. Holly Harris, an Elder Law Attorney with offices in Nowell, MA.

A variety of issues facing seniors will be discussed, including: financial and legal options, aging and elder care management options, and customized options for senior homeowners. Education and planning are the keys to a comfortable retirement. The Senior Options Seminar will address real life issues facing today’s seniors.
