Robert Cooper Honored as Antitrust Lawyer of the Year
27 October 2006 Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP is pleased to announce that Robert E. Cooper will be named the 2006 Antitrust Lawyer of the Year by the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section of the State Bar of California.
The award will be given at the Antitrust Lawyer of the Year Award Dinner, which will culminate the section's 16th Annual Golden State Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Institute. The event is being held on Thursday, October 26 at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.
About Robert E. Cooper
Cooper has served as trial counsel in numerous major antitrust cases. He serves as lead trial counsel for Intel Corporation in high-profile antitrust litigation brought by Advanced Micro Devices and in the ensuing approximately 80 class actions brought on behalf of consumers. He recently represented Sempra Energy, Southern California Gas Company and San Diego Gas and Electric Company in antitrust class actions. Other clients have included American Airlines, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Ticketmaster, Atlantic Coast Airlines, Callaway Golf, Pfizer, Honeywell, CFM International, Northrop and Allergan.
