RealRead Announces Online Version of Bay Area Lawyer's Magazine
29 October 2005 RealRead, a leading provider of software for the production of virtual catalogs, announced today the online publication of Bay Area Lawyer's Magazine, a premier bi-monthly magazine based in San Jose, CA that caters specifically to the Bay Area legal community. RealRead will work closely with Bay Area Lawyer's Magazine and its publisher, Renaissance Publications Inc., to provide a high-quality, interactive online version of the bi-monthly print magazine.
RealRead provides technology such as its Uploader online publishing software, which converts print-ready Adobe Acrobat PDF files into an online format using a simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) that requires no training or programming experience to operate. Once users have converted materials into electronic form, the software quickly arranges the information into an online magazine full of added features, such as page-turning animation, zoom, and HTML-linking.
In addition, RealRead software features Search Engine Visibility, which enables common search engines such as Google, MSN, and Yahoo! to search not only the text within the pages of the online editions of Bay Area Lawyer's Magazine, but also the advertisements the magazine features. The publication's advertisers are able to embed hyperlinks that will direct potential customers to corporate websites into the text of online advertisements.
"Bay Area Lawyer's Magazine is an important contributor to the legal community in and around San Francisco, and we are pleased to announce our partnership with RealRead, Inc. to produce an online version of our bi-monthly magazine," said Gilbert Sangari, Publisher and CEO. "RealRead's software was tremendously easy to use, and allowed us to quickly and inexpensively create very sophisticated online versions of our magazine."
RealRead is the only provider of advanced online publishing software that enables users to transfer print documents online without highly technical knowledge. While its competitors offer service, RealRead focuses on providing software and training, so that publishers can not only control their output, but can also minimize cost and own their online publishing activities.
