Queenstown nets commercial law specialist asStephen Brent goes solo

StephenBrent, Solicitor, opens the door to business in a bid tofill a growing need for commercial and property legal advicein the Queenstown area.


The Otago District Law Societygranted Stephen approval to practice on his own account onTuesday, 14 March and now he s keen to advise and assistlocal clients using his experience and wide range of skillsin specialist areas such as business transactions, propertytransactions, contracts, trusts, estate planning andsubdivisions.


"Recent phenomenal growth of the districtand the associated arrival of significant developers,businesses and companies have generated a niche for aspecialist commercial and property lawyer,"Stephen says.


"The high level of business now being conducted in theQueenstown area means there s a call for someone with a highlevel of commercial experience."


Stephen has workedextensively for some of New Zealand s largest corporatesincluding Smiths City, Capital Properties, Masterpet, CashConverters, Southward Engineering, Dairy InSight, WINZ, andeBet. He plans to use his "big-city" and Trans-Tasmanexperience, accompanied by a flexible and value-drivenservice, for the benefit of local businesses andindividuals.


Stephen initially plans to concentrate hisbusiness around the Southern Lakes region, but will alsocontinue to service his existing clients throughout NewZealand and Sydney.

Stephen formerly worked inQueenstown for Macalister Todd Phillips Bodkins.
