18 October 2005

Patron Systems, Inc. ("Patron")
(OTC: PTRS), a provider of information security solutions offering homeland
security and regulatory compliance to corporations, municipalities, counties,
and states, today unveiled PolicyGate(TM), a comprehensive email policy
gateway providing email archiving, secure messaging, supervision, and
electronic discovery for regulatory compliance and corporate governance.
PolicyGate(TM) will be showcased at the National Regulatory Services (NRS)
Fall Compliance Conference held at The Loews Miami Beach Hotel in South Beach,
Florida from October 18th - 20th.
PolicyGate(TM) is a field-proven, highly scalable email compliance
solution designed for regulatory compliance and email management.
PolicyGate(TM) was purpose-built to the exacting standards of SEC 17a-4 and
NASD 3010/3110 requirements. PolicyGate(TM) also has broad applications in
the public sector for management of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests
and administration of electronic Open Meetings Act (OMA) policies. Moreover,
PolicyGate(TM) is designed to enable government agencies to comply with the
privacy standards which are prescribed by the Office of Justice Programs.

review scanning on large volumes of email
-- Tiered Policy Structure -- allows unique policies to be applied to
discrete groups of users within the enterprise
-- Robust Set of Available "Policy Actions"
-- Block -- "non-compliant" messages can be blocked from delivery
-- Wrap -- sensitive or confidential material can be automatically
protected with a rights-managed encryption wrapper that ensures
information is not leaked through error or malicious intent.
-- Route -- email is forwarded to designated mailboxes based on policy
-- Return -- "non-compliant" messages can be returned to the sender
with pre-scripted messages
-- Archive Management -- message and attachment storage management with a
purge utility for retention expiration
-- Discovery -- all archives are easily searched using a combination of
22 query-able categories plus free text searches
-- Reporting -- easily generates reports for rapid response to regulatory
inquiries, Freedom of Information Requests (FOIA) and internal audits
-- Internal Mail Support -- allows capture of internal MS Exchange and
Lotus Notes/Domino email
-- Multi-lingual support -- the open lexicon supports many languages
including the double-byte character set for Japanese

"Patron is expanding from a strong installed base in the financial
services sector to applications in the public sector. This expansion is
consistent with our business plan and we are pleased with the market
reception," said Bob Cross, Patron's Chief Executive Officer. "PolicyGate
offers our customers the benefits of six years of experience in the compliance
market and we are pleased to bring PolicyGate to market with such strong
customer support."
"Patron's PolicyGate is clearly on the leading edge of solutions in the
market place today. Having recently conducted an exhaustive evaluation of
available solutions in this space, PolicyGate is an ideal solution for
investment advisers and broker-dealers to manage the regulatory compliance of
their email and other electronic communication," said Peter A. Savarese, Esq,
a securities attorney with the Hamburger Law Firm LLC and Senior Counsel at
MarketCounsel, a leading national business regulatory compliance consulting
firm located in the New York metropolitan area. "PolicyGate can also play a
vital role in implementing policies designed to manage workplace risks, such a
sexual harassment, which could lead to litigation and, in the event of
litigation, complying with discovery requests for electronic records."
