New Jersey Lemon Law Attorneys Again Honored as Super Lawyers in Statewide Poll

For the second year in a row, Robert M. Silverman, founding partner of the lemon law and consumer advocacy firm of Kimmel & Silverman, and New Jersey Managing Attorney Jacqueline Herritt have been named New Jersey Super Lawyers in a recent study by Law & Politics Magazine. The findings were published in the April 2006 edition of New Jersey Monthly. Silverman and Herritt were the only lemon law lawyers in the State to receive this distinction.

Attorneys throughout the state were asked to vote for the most effective attorneys they have personally observed in action, with the top vote getters being named Super Lawyers. Only five percent of all attorneys statewide received this honor. Silverman and Herritt were recognized for building the state's first full-service lemon law firm and assisting more than 35,000 distressed drivers across the tri-state region with cost-free legal representation, recovering over $135 million for their clients. Kimmel & Silverman made headlines this year when they successfully appealed a decision Honda received by a Camden County Superior Court, which limited warranty rights for New Jersey lessees. This decision continues to ensure that New Jersey lessees have the same lemon law and breach of warranty rights as those who purchase their cars. Also, New Jersey judges recently invited Silverman to train mediators and arbitrators on how to hear Lemon Law cases in a series of statewide workshops.
