Media Alert: Attorneys for Teen Hit-and-Run Victim Available For Comment
22 October 2005The family of Edward Lucas, the Chicago teen who was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Sept 22, 2005, has hired attorneys Jeffery M. Leving and Richard Mallen to represent them in civil litigation. Yesterday, Chicago Police officer Charlton A. McKay was charged with reckless homicide in connection with the crash.
Leving is available to comment on the pending civil case. "Those responsible for Edward's death must be held accountable their actions, no matter who they are," said Leving. " The likelihood that a police officer, someone sworn to uphold the law and to serve and protect the innocent, was behind the wheel, makes this all the more tragic."
