MEDIA ADVISORY - HR Law Conference to Tackle Toughest Legal Issues for Employers

WHAT: The latest trends in wrongful dismissal, employment contracts and
human rights at work will be examined at Canada's largest employment law
conference. Organized by the Human Resources Professionals Association of
Ontario (HRPAO), HR Law attracts more than 500 human resources professionals
looking for practical advice to apply in their organizations.
The HR Law conference will address key changes in legislation, major
court cases and emerging developments, including:

- E-mail at work: How "confidential" e-mails are not so confidential
- Managing new disabilities: post-traumatic stress disorder,
environmental sensitivities and obesity
- The office social: who is responsible after "last call"
- Can an employee's conduct off the job be cause for termination?
- Protecting company secrets and how to find out if an employee is
being "unfaithful"
