Long-Term Care Insurance Exec Tapped for VP of National Professional Organization

5 September 2005

MEDFORD, OR ? ACSIA, the leading provider of long-term care insurance in the nation, today announced that company president, Tom Eaton, has been elected to the post of vice president of the board of directors of the National Long Term
Care Network (NLTCN). Founded in 1994, the NLTCN is a national professional organization comprised of top vendors of Long Term Care insurance (LTCi).

"I am honored to be recognized by my industry with a leadership role on the board of our professional association," said Eaton, who has been with ACSIA for 10 years. "This will enable me to participate in policy making for the organization at the highest level.

It also provides our firm with a voice in matters that affect the entire industry."

The Long Term Care insurance industry provides agents with products that address a growing need for long-term health care in today?s society. Recent demographic studies suggest that the number of aging individuals in the United States is growing rapidly and will increase by as much as two-and-one-half times between now and the year 2050. In that same period, these studies note that the number of people most likely to require long-term care will increase from 1.5 percent of the population to 5 percent. That means that a sizeable number of individuals over 65 today, up to 60 percent by some measures, will require expensive, long-term care at some point in the future. Insuring against these costs makes sense and is part of a comprehensive, personal financial strategy, according to Eaton.

ACSIA helped pioneer the Long Term Care insurance market in 1973. "We?ve been around this market since its inception, helping over 150,000 families incorporate long term care insurance into their financial portfolios," said Eaton. "Long Term Care insurance is ACSIA?s exclusive focus. Today, we have over $125,000,000 of policies in force. Making ACSIA one of the oldest and strongest in the industry."
"ACSIA provides its agents with the highest level of product-specific support in the industry," said Mark Goldberg, the company?s national sales manager. "That makes our agents more effective and their customers happier."

According to Goldberg, ACSIA customers benefit from the company?s long history in the industry; its exclusive focus on LTCi; it?s relationships with the largest and strongest policy underwriters; and, the company?s national presence. "Agents who work with ACSIA benefit from our high-quality lead generation process; our home-office and field agent support teams; our commission structure, including advances; and, an attractive incentive program," he said.

Founded in 1956, ACSIA has a nationwide presence ?through a network of affiliated LTCi specialists. The company is headquartered in Medford, Oregon.

The company is located at 33 N. Central Avenue, Suite 317, Medford, Oregon 97501; and can be reached at (800) 362-8837.
