LegalZoom.com Promotes Scott MacDonell to Vice President of Consumer Marketing

LegalZoom.com, the nation's number one online self-help legal document service, today announced Scott MacDonell as vice president of consumer marketing. In his new position, MacDonell will implement long-term growth strategies as well as short-term targeted initiatives across all customer touchpoints. Since joining LegalZoom.com in 2004, MacDonell has increased LegalZoom.com's organic search visibility and contributes to year over year growth of product lines.

"Scott's extensive marketing and advertising background has been instrumental to the growth of LegalZoom.com and he has an understanding of the consumer that will absolutely be a key factor in expanding the company's customer base," stated Brian Liu, co-founder and CEO of LegalZoom.com, "In his new role as vice president of consumer marketing, Scott will help guide the future course of the company's marketing initiatives as we look to expand our service and product offerings."

Previous to LegalZoom.com, MacDonell held the position of media director at CITRUS, an interactive agency previously known as Target Market Interactive, where he led the media department and supervised activity across business-to-consumer and business-to-business accounts. He also supervised the development of media strategy and execution and personally transitioned the company from solely online marketing to the full service of offline and online media capabilities.

Scott MacDonell holds an MBA and a Master in Science (MS) in Computer Information Systems and received a Master's Certificate in Telecommunications Management from the University of Miami. He also holds a BA with honors in Economics and Entrepreneurship from the University of Arizona.
