Smith announces that a securities class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of shareholders who purchased or otherwise acquired securities of Xerium Technologies Inc. ("Xerium" or the "Company") (NYSE:XRM) pursuant and/or traceable to the Company's initial public offering on or about May 16, 2005 through November 15, 2005 (the "Class"). The class action lawsuit was filed in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
The Complaint alleges that defendants violated federal securities laws by issuing a series of material misrepresentations to the market concerning Xerium and its business and prospects, thereby artificially inflating the price of Xerium securities.
