Kirksville woman sues over Flight 5966
31 January 2005A Kirksville woman has sued American Airlines and two American Connection carriers over the October plane crash of Flight 5966.
The lawsuits says the crash that killed 62-year-old Rada Bronson and twelve others resulted from the carriers' negligence. The plane was flown by Corporate Airlines, based in Smyrna, Tennessee. But the lawsuit also names American Airlines, its Fort Worth, Texas-based corporate parent, and Trans States Airlines of St. Louis.
The lawsuit says they all shared in the operation and maintenance of the doomed carrier. Representatives for American and Corporate declined comment, saying they had not seen the lawsuit. Trans States says its only involvement was boarding passengers in St. Louis.
