Greenberg Traurig's Growing Houston Office Strengthens Its Energy Group
22 January 2006 The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced today that Edward E. Abels, Jr. will join its Houston office as Of Counsel and Christi D. Quinn will join the office as a Senior Associate. Abels has more than twenty-one years of experience in the energy industry including nearly ten years as a petroleum engineer before receiving his law degree. Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Abels worked on a wide variety of energy-related transactions while serving as in-house counsel and in private practice with major law firms. Most recently, he served as Assistant Counsel at Union Oil Company of California (UNOCAL). Abels has also served as Assistant General Counsel at KN Energy, Inc. in Lakewood, Colorado.
