14 March 2006 *Genocide Charges to be laid against Queen* BlackGST Elder Robbie Thorpe today announced Charges will be laidagainst the Sovereign Head of Australia, Queen Elizabeth IIfor Crimes against humanity, including Genocide, against theIndigenous peoples of Australia under the InternationalConvention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime ofGenocide, the United Kingdom International Criminal CourtAct 2001, and the Commonwealth Criminal Code Act 1995(Amendment Division 268 2002) a Genocide, crimes againsthumanity, war crimes and crimes against the administrationof the justice of the International CriminalCourt. "Successive Australian Colonial Governments havebeen, and are unwilling or unable to resolve thesefundamental questions of law. Therefore, the Queen ofAustralia is personally responsible for the crimesperpetrated against our people and I will be presentingthese charges against her when she arrives in Melbourne nextweek" said Mr Thorpe today. "Queen Elizabeth II hasbeen the sovereign ruler of Australia for the entire timethat these laws have been in place and she has done nothingto stop the continuing genocide of our peoples, which isgoing on in this country.** "The Queen is demonstratingutter contempt towards the Sovereign law of our people ifshe is to visit this country without addressing thesefundamental legal issues, and for this, she must be broughtto account under International Law. "The Queen is thedefender of the Christian Faith which defines her laws andit is incumbent upon her to visit the Sacred Fire to discuss Sovereignty and Treaty issues with our Sovereignpeople. "The onus is on the Queen to rectify andaddress this unfinished business or she will have to answerthese questions in the International CriminalCourt.
