21 October 2005Generex Biotechnology Corporation (NASDAQ: GNBT), a leader in the area of buccal drug delivery, today announced that the Company will make three poster presentations of Oral-lyn clinical data on behalf of the Company at the 9th Annual Canadian Diabetes Association / Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism Professional Conference and Annual Meetings to be held in Edmonton, Alberta, from October 20 - 22, 2005. The three presentations are as follows:
-- "A Series of Open-label Studies Comparing Various Formulation of Orally Administered Insulin (Oral-lyn™) in Patients with Type-1 Diabetes Mellitus (DM)," a study coauthored by Dr. Jaime Guevara-Aguirre, Marco Guevara, and Jeannette Saavedra, all of the Institute of Endocrinology IEMYR in Quito, Ecuador; -- "A 12-Day Comparison of Preprandial Humulin® vs. Oral-lyn™ in 10 Type 1 Diabetic Subjects Receiving Baseline Glargine Insulin Therapy," a study coauthored by Dr. Jaime Guevara-Aguirre, Marco Guevara, and Jeannette Saavedra, all of the Institute of Endocrinology IEMYR in Quito, Ecuador; -- "Addition of Oral-lyn™ at Mealtimes in Subjects with Type 2 Diabetes Maintained on Glargine + Metformin - A Comparison with Placebo," a study coauthored by Professor Itamar Raz of Hadassah Hospital, Jerusalem, Israel together with M. Kidron (also of Hadassah Hospital) and M. Dubinsky and J. Wainstein of Wolfson Hospital, Holon, Israel.
