Former US Attorney General John Ashcroft Joins D2C Solutions' Board of Advisors
18 April 2006 D2C Solutions announced the addition of former US Attorney General John Ashcroft and Chief of Staff David Ayres to the D2C Board of Advisors. At the US Department of Justice, General Ashcroft was responsible for the enforcement of the Sarbanes Oxley Act, and also oversaw President Bush's Corporate Fraud Task Force that coordinated all major federal corporate fraud prosecutions. General Ashcroft stated, "While serving as US Attorney General, I gained a valuable perspective on the difficulty of establishing strong financial controls in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley. I am joining the Board of Advisors of D2C Solutions because D2C provides more certainty for the CEO and CFO who ultimately are responsible for certifying compliance." "His unique perspective on Sarbanes Oxley and corporate accountability coupled with his strong personal commitment to integrity align well with D2C's mission of compliance" says Waters Davis, President of D2C Solutions. David Ayres served as Chief of Staff for former US Attorney General John Ashcroft at the Department of Justice. After September 11, Mr. Ayres was responsible for restructuring the Department of Justice with its $20 billion budget and staff of 120,000 employees to better meet the immediate needs of the country. Mr. Ayres brings a wealth of Justice Department experience to the issues surrounding Sarbanes Oxley compliance as well as risk assurance. David Ayres attended the Wharton School of Business where he received his MBA, and previously worked for U.S. Senators John Danforth and Christopher Bond. In Mr. Ayres' own words, "Satisfying Section 404 of Sarbanes Oxley has become a complex and costly exercise for corporations. After analyzing the other companies providing alternative compliance products, we believe D2C Solutions provides the most value to its customers."
