Emma Email Marketing Hires Attorney Bo Spessard as Director of Operations

Emma(R), the Web-based email marketing and communications service, has hired Bo Spessard as their director of operations. Bo joins Emma from the law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, where he was an associate in the Business and Technology Group specializing in intellectual property and the negotiation and drafting of software license agreements for Fortune 500 clients.

Bo has served as Emma's attorney since 2003, and as the company's director of operations will serve as in-house counsel and help guide long-term strategy and growth. He becomes the 22nd staff member for Emma, which was recently recognized as one of the 50 fastest growing private companies in its home state of Tennessee by the Nashville Business Journal.


Bo received his undergraduate degree from Hampden-Sydney College and his J.D. from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire. He is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee and American Bar Associations and resides in Nashville with his wife and two children.
