Darryl M. Burman: Corporate and Securities Attorney Joins Epstein Becker Green Wickliff & Hall

Burman, an attorney with over 20 years experience in business transactions and securities law. Prior to joining EBGW&H, Burman was the head of the Corporate and Securities Section of Fant & Burman, L.L.P. in Houston, Texas. Burman represents privately held corporations, small-cap public corporations, and high net-worth individuals. His practice areas include general corporate, securities, employment, trademark, and corporate finance. Burman's skills are as numerous as they are varied, including the negotiation and documentation of substantive mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other business combinations. He has participated in the preparation and filing of various securities filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and State Securities Regulatory Agencies, in connection with the registration of securities of publicly held corporations and compliance filings required under the 1934 Act for public reporting entities or other registrants. He has significant experience in the negotiation and preparation of numerous corporate documents to facilitate the day to day business operations of various types of business entities, in connection with their business operations, employment relations, and financial/institutional funding. Burman is also an expert in the preparation of private offering documentation in compliance with Regulation D 501-508, 4(2), 4(6) and Rule 144 and Rule 144A; and the representation of public and private corporations in connection with numerous corporate and employment related governance issues. His representative clients come from many different fields, such as oil and gas (energy), automotive, aerospace, real estate development, medical waste, hotels, internet, and technology. Burman earned an B.A. in Finance from the University of South Florida in 1980 and his J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 1983. Burman is also a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law Section), State Bar of Texas (Section of Business Law) and a Life Fellow of the Houston Bar Association. Burman was president of Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity, received the Order of Omega, graduated as a Top Ten Outstanding Senior Leader and served as Governor's Aide to then Governor of the State of Florida, Robert Graham.
