Business Interruption Seminar Shares Critical Lessons From Recent Catastrophic Events

19 November 2005

Attorney Mark E. Miller will cover strategies
for handling property damage and business interruption insurance claims at
a breakfast seminar set for Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at
the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, 3555 S. Ocean Drive in Hollywood. The
free event is hosted by Willis Group Holdings Ltd. and Berkowitz, Dick,
Pollack, & Brant Certified Public Accountants & Consultants LLP.

Miller is a shareholder with the Insurance Recovery and Advisory Group at
the international law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP.

"When you have suffered property damage as a result of a hurricane, it is
difficult to know what your rights are. Property damage claims are littered
with potential traps and pitfalls," Miller said. "There is a right way and
a wrong way to resolve these claims. And, the only way to ensure a fair
settlement with your insurance carriers is to educate yourself and steer
clear of potential obstacles so that full recovery can be realized."

Topics to be covered at the seminar, titled "Lessons Learned from Recent
Catastrophic Events," include: Insurance Options Available to Protect Your
Income; Avoiding Limitations, Restrictions, and Coverage Gaps; and
Preparing, Documenting and Defending a Comprehensive Claim. Moderated by
Andrew C. Bernstein, CPA, Director of Forensic Services, Berkowitz Dick
Pollack & Brant, the seminar features several other speakers, including
Charlie Fumagali CIC, CRM Managing Partner, Willis Group Holdings, and Dan
Hughes, CPA, Forensic Practice Manager, Berkowitz Dick Pollack & Brant.
